Mission StatementThe Vision of the National Eisteddfod Academy is to encourage our youth to participate and celebrate in the magical experience of the performing arts. The Mission of the National Eisteddfod Academy is therefore to present the annual Eisteddfod, Di Konokono Festival and related activities as opportunities where the youth can develop their diverse artistic potential.

The NEA Corporate Objective is to establish, develop and sustain the NEA nationally on sound business principles as a reputable (not for gain) organization for youth development in the arts. It is hence the strategy of the Organization to reduce its overall dependency on sponsorships by strengthening its business operations. This will also strengthen the position of the organization to contribute towards sustainable development and the improvement in performance level of participants from previously disadvantaged schools in the various arts disciplines.
Subsequently, the operation of the NEA has been structured into two components, i.e.
This clearly defined structure creates new opportunities for sponsors to make a quantifiable and verifiable difference in the lives of children.
The NEA Corporate Strategy is to set and maintain the highest levels of integrity and credibility in managing and presenting the annual festival and related activities to ensure everyone involved of a positive experience. In doing so the NEA will endeavour to
· Utilize the unique power of the performing arts for o enhancing the quality of life, o developing human potential, and o building of confidence and self-esteem in the youth · Unleash the artistic potential of learners (including learners with special educational needs) through training and participation in arts activities at their doorstep, and · Empower educators through training workshops in the various arts disciplines to prepare learners for participation in the arts
